Warm and Peaceful Heart

Malawi is not only the “Warm Heart of Africa” but is among the most peaceful places on the continent. According to a recent “Peace Index”  (See Table) published by the Institute for Economics and Peace,  which is described as “a new global thinktank dedicated to the research and education of the relationship between economics, business and peace”, Malawi is the second most peaceful country in Sub-Saharan Africa. Only Botswana enjoys more peace. The worst performer is, not surprisingly,Somali followed by Sudan and DRC.

Malawi is blessed with peaceful neighbours – Mozambique, Tanzani and Zambia do quite well, although a little technical assistance from Malawi could could go a long way  improve things!!
